SUPPORT
VALLEY CHRISTIAN
SCHOOL

Donors and volunteers who share of their time, treasure and talents make all the difference for advancing our school’s mission and vision. There is a variety of giving opportunities that you can take to support our school.
As an interdenominational school, we are not funded by any single denomination or church. Our student body represents about 40 different area churches. We rely on the charitable generosity of individuals, businesses, foundations, and friends who value the betterment of children and the benefits of a quality Christian education.
Our school is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and charitable gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. For more information or to make a gift in any of the above ways, please call the Development Office
at 920-292-1273.
This vital program was established to advance and to strengthen VCS through funding for operations and special program support. This is our primary vehicle for bridging the gap between the cost of educating students and tuition received.
Contributions to the Appeal, as well as programs described below, may be mailed or delivered to the school address listed below anytime during the calendar year. Please indicate on the check to which program you would like your gift applied. Thank you.
“The Big Event” is held every March. This event is our largest fundraiser and is attended by many members of the community. We invite you to join us for an enjoyable evening of delicious food, student performed entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on items knowing that VCS is a direct beneficiary of your generous participation.
Gifts of appreciated assets such as stock or mutual fund shares, vehicles and real estate are encouraged. These gifts may provide significant tax benefits to the donor as recommended by your professional financial advisor.
Did you know that your employer may match your donations or even your volunteer hours with monetary gifts? Many corporations have these types of programs as a way to encourage service by their employees and to give back to the local community. Ask your employer, you could double your gift!
VCS is proud to partner with the Fair Market Thrift Store in Appleton, WI where their mission is to: "Raise funds for Christian education by selling tax deductible donations received from generous people in our community. Through our work at Fair Market Thrift Store, we seek to make a positive difference in the lives of children through Christian education."
We are grateful beneficiaries of Fair Market Thrift Store's commitment to support Christian education. Your support of Fair Market Thrift in turn supports Valley Christian School.

Every year the school is blessed with gifts of items useful to the school. These are either utilized in the everyday operations of the school, in the classrooms, or in the facility. Gifts of items are also received for use during annual fundraising events such as the “The Big Event” (Valley Christian Benefit Auction). After receipt of the items, you will receive a heartfelt thank you and a written acknowledgment of your gift for tax purposes.
Every fall, our elementary and middle school students obtain pledges from friends and family for this fun event. This fund provides the opportunity for you to make a quality Christian education a reality for worthy students right here in our community.
Every year many families qualify for tuition assistance. Without help, they simply could not afford a Christian education. We rely on the generous support of individuals and organizations to benefit the education of a child today. Any amount is helpful in the life of a child.
The Valley Christian School Endowment Fund is an investment fund that has been established in order to have the ability to regularly draw upon the invested capital in order to fund our financial aid program. The goal is to grow the money over time and draw from the interest made from the core investment. The core goal is $1,000,000. Once reached, disbursements would begin to the families in need with already enrolled students as well as prospective student families.
Donations to the VCS Endowment Fund would be establishing a living legacy, one in which donors can see the effects of that money year after year, and within only a few years from its creation. Legacy giving is usually defined as occurring at the end of one's life, making a modest donation, or many times, a large one to an organization from one's estate.
Families that struggle financially to send their children to Valley Christian, or ones that would not or could not enroll them here without the help of this fund would be greatly impacted. You can be a part of this, knowing that the school is reaching as many families in the Fox Valley as possible.
VCS uses a third party administrator, known as FACTS, to evaluate the financial needs of those who apply. While every situation is different, and with many factors being considered, as much as 45% of tuition can be paid. This enables many more students to attend and therefore, impact the world for Christ.
This money will not be used for anything other than its intended purpose. Paying for expenses, or any other budgetary use will be prohibited. You can rest assured that your donations are making the greatest impact that they possibly can.
The VCS Endowment Fund will facilitate the growth of Christian education, its values, and outstanding academics. Think of it as a tool that helps create the world you wish to see and help to impact through the next generation.
There are many opportunities for parents, students, alumni, and friends to volunteer their time at VCS. We highly value our volunteers! We recognize that without the sharing of their time and talents we could not continue to operate a quality program. A list of suggested volunteer opportunities may be obtained upon request. Volunteer applicants will be asked to fill out a background check form.
