Lauren Hansen

Lauren Hansen joins Valley Christian School this year as an Assisted Learning Teacher. She brings with her nine years of teaching experience in special education, most recently in Alaska, and is excited to begin serving in the VCS community.

Lauren is passionate about equipping students with the tools they need to make wise choices and celebrating with them as they grow in walking with the Lord. Following the example of Jesus, who often moved from meeting practical needs to addressing spiritual ones—her desire is to provide supports that open the way for students to know their Savior more deeply and discover who He has called them to be.

Her years of teaching in Alaska taught her that no obstacle, whether snowstorms, earthquakes, or even moose on the playground, can hinder the work God wants to accomplish in students’ lives. Lauren has learned not to fear the unexpected, trusting that God often does His greatest work in those moments.
